Management of minor injuries and MSK conditions, including:
- Suspected fractures
- Sprains and strains
- Finger dislocations
- Bruises and contusions
- Wounds, cuts, and burns
- Minor lacerations and abrasions
- Minor joint injuries (e.g., twisted ankles)
- Minor head injuries (e.g., scalp lacerations)
- Minor musculoskeletal injuries (e.g., muscle strains)
- Referrals for imaging such as X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, or MRIs
- Closure of wounds with local anesthesia, utilizing stitches or tissue glue
- Application of plaster casts or splints
- Referral to specialists if necessary
Please be advised that we are unable to offer wound closure in children under 12 years old, as they may require IV sedation for such procedures.
Management of Non-Traumatic Urgent Medical Conditions. Our experienced Nurse Practitioner is proficient in assessing and managing a variety of sudden illnesses, including but not limited to:
- Respiratory symptoms such as coughs, colds, sore throats, and chest infections
- Ear, nose, or throat issues
- Abdominal discomfort or pain
- Gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea and vomiting
- Joint or limb pain unrelated to injury
- Acute eye conditions such as foreign body sensation or conjunctivitis
- Back or flank pain
- Genitourinary infections including urinary tract and genital infections
- Skin infections
